Living with bipolar disorder?

Do you think you might be bipolar and want to talk to a professional?

Need help managing the extreme mood swings you are experiencing?

Have you already been diagnosed and want support while working towards stability?

I am here to help you on this mental health journey of living with bipolar disorder regardless of what stage of recovery you are in!

The ups and downs

Living with untreated bipolar disorder is like being on a nightmare of a rollercoaster. It is exhausting going through the extreme moods of mania, hypomania, and depression, and feeling like you have little to no control over your emotions.

Maybe you lashed out on a loved one, went on an over-the-top spending spree, or embarrassed yourself in public while running a million miles per hour when feeling manic. Or perhaps you feel so low you think you can't go on, are having suicidal thoughts, or are staying in bed unable to get anything accomplished.

It is bad enough experiencing days with no sleep highly on edge, and weeks feeling like you can't go on, but if you're rapid cycling you may go through the range of emotions in one day.

Just know you do not have to face this alone

My name is Mallory Beckwith and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas, supervised by Angel M. Hoodye, M.S., LPC-S, CART. How will Therapy with Mallory help you?

I have worked with many clients with bipolar disorder and have guided them through the process of: getting diagnosed, learning how to manage their moods, cope with extreme feelings, getting on medication, working with a psychiatrist, managing extreme side effects from medications, finding hope for the future, working towards stability, and maintaining stability.

It is possible to put this illness in remission and live a happy healthy life if you are dedicated to your recovery. I will teach you grounding skills that help decrease mania/ hypomania, and powerful mindfulness techniques that are scientifically proven to help reduce depression and regulate moods. I would be honored to be a part of your support system to help you recover.
